Our first two trucks of dried cottonii left the MARI Oceans’ warehouses in both Makassar and Takalar, Indonesia, marking the beginning of an exciting journey towards sustainable growth and global reach.
This shipment is not just a truck of dried seaweed; it represents our commitment to capacity building and future expansion. As we continue to grow, the volume of our seaweed shipments will increase, bringing additional opportunities and benefits to the local farmers in Takalar, and other parts of Indonesia.
Special mention goes to the incredible women of the Takalar community, who played a crucial role in the preparation for seaweed cultivation and other activities in the post-harvest and supply chain management of the seaweed. Their support and commitment to the quality of seaweed being sent out are major factors in our success. We are proud to empower these women, providing them with meaningful employment and contributing to the economic development of their community.
As we continue to expand, we are excited about the future and the positive impact we can make. Our goal is to increase shipments of dried seaweed, supporting the livelihoods of local farmers and promoting sustainable practices.
Stay tuned for more updates and join us in celebrating this remarkable achievement!
