MARI Oceans sensor installed in the seas of Bone, South Sulawesi

July 2021 became a memorable event for the Indonesian seaweed initiative managed by MARI Oceans.

A sensor to measure oceanographic and environmental data has been installed in the seas of Bone, Indonesia. The sensor can display data in real time and will allow farmers to monitor their crops, thus improving resilience.

This sensor is MARI’s first automated equipment which will be key in maximising productivity, increasing quality and mitigating risks, especially those related to changes in the environment and site conditions.
