MARI Participating in HACCP training hosted by the Ministry of Marine and Fisheries

MARI Oceans first seaweed harvest

MARI Oceans took a step in improving the skills and expertise of its operational team by participating in an important HACCP training program hosted by the Ministry of Marine and Fisheries in South Sulawesi last month.

The session brought together over 60 participants from marine, fisheries, and seaweed companies across the region, and MARI Oceans was proud to be a part of this collaborative environment that fostered valuable knowledge-sharing.

The HACCP training program serves as a vital opportunity to refine our processes in hazard identification, critical control point (CCP) management, and food safety monitoring. The training also covered essential areas such as corrective actions, record-keeping, and verification procedures—crucial skills for maintaining our commitment to delivering safe and high-quality seaweed products.

“I found the training to be immensely beneficial and helped me to better identify and manage potential hazards within the production process,” said Andi Nasaruddin, MARI Ocean’s Warehouse & QC Officer who participated in the training. “The training, which includes a deeper understanding of CCP management, makes me confident of its lasting impact on MARI’s food safety protocols.”

By investing in our people doing training like HACCP, we ensure that our operations not only meet regulatory requirements but also exceed customer expectations for safe and sustainable seaweed products as a reflection of our ongoing commitment to excellence.
